Dr. Andrews is proud to provide free orthodontist consultations for our community.
We want to give you an expert assessment of you or your child’s smile — from a board-certified doctor and Blue Diamond Plus Invisalign provider — with no pressure.
Before you visit our orthodontic office in Augusta or Grovetown, you can fill out your new patient form online so we can get started right away when you arrive!
Here’s what happens at your first orthodontist appointment:
- A thorough orthodontic exam with x-rays, digital scans, and photos to give us a complete picture of your smile
- One-on-one chat with Dr. Andrews to review your results, answer questions, and talk through your treatment options
- A clear cost and insurance review to build a payment plan that works for you
What To Expect at Your Orthodontist Consultation
1. Start with a smile & a tour
You’ll be greeted by our friendly team when you arrive! We’ll give you a quick tour of the office, and get to know a little bit about you. We’ll take digital x-rays and photos of your teeth, as well as a quick scan with our advanced iTero® Element 5D digital scanner. Our goal is to get to know you, and your smile.
2. Get a Clear, Honest Assessment
Dr. Andrews will perform a detailed in-person exam of your teeth and bite, explain his findings in clear, easy-to-understand terms, and walk you through your treatment options. Dr. Andrews is known for spending time with each patient to answer questions and make sure you feel confident about the plan.
3. Plan Your Path to a New Smile
While Dr. Andrews finalizes your personalized treatment plan, our new patient coordinator will review your insurance coverage, calculate any benefits, and create a flexible payment plan that works for your budget. We’ll develop a plan with a down payment and low monthly payments that meet your needs — with interest-free, in-house financing.
How long does the first orthodontist appointment take?
The first visit takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour total. We won’t rush you through any part of your visits. It’s important to us that you have plenty of time to ask questions, understand your options, and feel completely comfortable before moving forward.
How many appointments before getting braces or Invisalign®?
Your first visit is all about getting to know you and your smile, and determining the best path forward. Your second visit is when we’ll place your advanced Damon® braces, or you’ll receive your custom Invisalign® clear aligners to begin the transformation process.
Invisalign is a custom-made treatment that has to be designed and printed after your first visit, and the process of placing braces (from prepping your teeth to attaching brackets and wires) can take about an hour.
